S. Nagamuthu, J.—The petitioner is the father of one M. Balamani, aged 15 years. According to him, she has been abducted by the third respondent on 12.09.2011. In this regard, he has preferred a complaint to the police, against which the second respondent has registered a case in Crime No. 303 of 2011 for "girl missing". Since the girl was not secured, the petitioner has come up with the present Habeas Corpus Petition. Today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that during the course of investigation in Crime No. 303 of 2011, the detenue was secured on 09.12.2011, and thereafter, she was produced before the Judicial Magistrate No. II, Thanjavur, who in turn, has entrusted the minor girl to the custody of her parents. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has also produced xerox copies of the case diary relevant to the same.

In such view of the matter, nothing more survives in this Habeas Corpus Petition and accordingly the same is dismissed, with a direction to the police to go ahead with the investigation in accordance with law.
