Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 102 dated 23.06.2016, registered under Sections 307, 34 and 473 of
the IPC and Sections 25, 27 of the Arms Act, 1959 at Police Station Division No. 5, District Police Ludhiana Commissionerate.
A perusal of the custody certificate filed today shows that the petitioner is facing trial in as many as 17 cases and in one case, he stands convicted.
A perusal of the record further shows while dismissing the regular bail application of two co-accused, namely Guarav Sharam @ Goru Bacha and
Manpreet Singh @ Mani, this Court has observed that the trial is likely to conclude, vide order dated 31.01.2020 passed in CRM-M-46811-2018 and
connected petition.
Faced with this, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his arguments and submits that even the written arguments/synopsis have been submitted to
the trial Court, however, the trial is not yet concluded despite a long time and a direction may be issued to the trial Court to dispose of the trial
expeditiously.
In view of the limited prayer of learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of.
Considering the fact that written arguments/synopsis have already been submitted to the trial Court and only the decision is to be given, the trial Court
is directed to dispose of the trial expeditiously, preferably within a period of one month from today.
