The applicant is working as Senior Scientific Assistant (SSA) in the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, CBI, New Delhi. It is stated that she

became eligible to be promoted to the post of Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Biology), and despite that the respondents are not taking any steps to

convene DPC in order to promote her.

The respondents filed a reply explaining the various circumstances on account of which the DPC could not be convened.

The OA was heard at some length on 23.02.2021. Taking note of the fact that the applicant is due to retire on 31.05.2021, a detailed order was

passed directing that the DPC shall be convened within the time stipulated therein.

We heard Mr. Yogesh Sharma, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. R.V.Sinha & Mr. G.S. Virk, learned counsel for the respondents.

Today, it is brought to our notice that the DPC was convened on 13.05.2021 and the applicant was selected. It is also stated that the order of

promotion to the post of Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Biology) has been issued to the applicant on 20.05.2021. With this, the grievance of the

applicant stands redressed. The OA is accordingly closed.

MA No.1272/2021 stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
