The petitioner seeks that respondents be directed to disburse to her the arrears of salary for the period between February 2015 and May 2019, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The afore request of the petitioner, as made by her learned counsel Sri.Justine K.P., was answered by Sri.Deepu Thankan – learned Standing Counsel for the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), saying that his client is going through financial crisis and would require a generous time frame for honouring their commitments. He, however, did not contest the right of the petitioner, or the fact that she is entitled to the amounts as claimed by her.

In the afore circumstances, I allow this writ petition and direct the 2nd respondent to take up Ext.P2 representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same, after hearing her; thus culminating in an appropriate order and necessary action thereon, as expeditiously as is possible, but not later than one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.

I make it clear that I leave it to the 2nd respondent or such other competent Authority of the KSRTC, to decide within what time the petitioner will be paid her eligible amounts; but on condition that this shall not exceed four months from the date on which such a decision is taken.
