Pankaj Mithal, J.—Heard learned counsel for the petitioner. The prayer made in the petition is for early disposal of Land Acquisition Reference No. 1 of 1996 pending before respondent no. 1 i.e. Additional District Judge-VI, Etawah.

In Mangat Ram Tanwar and another Vs. Union of India, the Supreme Court while dealing with a similar kind of problem relating to delay in disposal of the land acquisition cases directed the State Government to decide all land references u/s 18 within a time bound period of three months with the outer limit of six months.

In view of Mangat Ram Tanwar (Supra) the petition is disposed of with the direction to the court concern to decide the aforesaid land reference case in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months with the outer limit of six months from the date of production of the certified copy of this order.

The aforesaid direction would be ineffective in case the petitioner himself seeks more than one adjournment. Petition disposed of.
