The present Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to quash the First Information Report No. 105 of 2023, registered at police station Muni-Ki-Reti, District Tehri Garhwal. The offences under Sections 420, 406, 120B, 467, 468 and Section 471 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 are being investigated.

Heard Mr. S.R.S. Gill, learned counsel with Mr. Lalit Sharma, learned counsel for petitioners-accused, Mr. G. S. Sandhu, learned Additional Advocate General assisted by Mr. Deepak Bhardwaj, learned Brief Holder for respondent nos. 1 and 2 and Mr. Ram ji Shrivastava, learned counsel for respondent no. 3 - informant - victim.

All the three petitioners- accused are present in - person. They are identified by Mr. S. R. S. Gill, Advocate. The respondent no. 3- Abhinav Jindal, the informant and victim, is present in - person. He is identified by Mr. Ram ji Shrivastava, Advocate.

Both, the petitioners and respondent no. 3 have submitted that there were private disputes between them and they have resolved their disputes and after resolving their disputes they are living in peace and harmony. Therefore, they have filed a Compounding Application with affidavits.

The respondent no. 3 - Abhinav Jindal submitted that he has filed his affidavit with his free will and without any pressure. He has requested to quash the First Information Report.

Mr. G. S. Sandhu, learned Additional Advocate General, has submitted that there were private disputes between the parties and they have resolved their disputes, therefore, the State has no object ion to quash the First Information Report.

It is not iced by the Court that there were private disputes between the parties and they have resolved their disputes and after resolving their disputes they are living in peace and harmony. Therefore, it would be appropriate, in the interest of justice, that the impugned First Information Report be quashed.

As a result, the impugned First Information Report No. 105 of 2023, registered at police station Muni Ki Reti, District Tehri Garhwal, is quashed.

The present Criminal Writ Petition (No. 1170 of 2024) is disposed of accordingly.
