Judgment
M. Jaichandren, J.—Heard the learned Counsels appearing for the Petitioners, as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader
appearing for the Respondents.
At this stage of the hearing of the writ petitions, the learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioners had submitted that it would suffice, if
this Court is pleased to permit the Petitioners to make representations to the Respondents, with regard to the reliefs sought for in the writ petitions,
within a specified period and on such representation being made, the Respondents are directed to dispose of the same, on merits and in
accordance with law, within a specified period.
The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the Respondents, has no objection for such an order being passed by this
Court.
In view of the limited relief sought for by the learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioners without going into the merits of the case, the
Petitioners are permitted to make representations to the Respondents, with regard to the reliefs sought for in the present writ petitions, within a
period of 15 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of such representations, the Respondents are directed to dispose
of the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four months thereafter. The Petitioners are directed to furnish copies of the
representations to the Respondents, along with a copy of this order.
Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of, with the above directions. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are also
closed.
