This Contempt Petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the Order dated 11.07.2024, passed in Writ Petition No.1230 of 2024 (S/S), "Devendra Prasad Lakhera vs. State of Uttarakhand and Others". By the Order dated 11.07.2024, the following direction was issued:-
"6.The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of with direction to the Competent Authority to constitute a selection committee, in terms of Regularisation Rules of 2013, which shall consider claim of petitioner for regularisation, as per Rules. This entire exercise shall be completed within three months from the date of production of certified copy of this order."
Heard Mr. Amar Murti Shukla, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. J.S. Bisht, learned counsel for the State.
Mr. J.S. Bisht, Advocate submitted on instructions that the Competent Authority had constituted a selection committee in terms of the Regularisation Rules, 2013 and after considering the matter, has rejected the petitioner's case.
Mr. Amar Murti Shukla, Advocate submitted that the petitioner shall challenge the order, passed by the Competent Authority. However, the petitioner does not want to pursue the present matter further.
In view of the above, this contempt petition (No.380 of 2024) does not require any further consideration. The proceedings in this contempt petition are closed.
