Judgment

The petitioner, who claims to be eligible for promotion to the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Radiology in Dr. Rajinder Prashad Government Medical College Tanda, has come up before this Court seeking direction to the respondents to consider her for the post of Assistant Professor (Radiology).
Without going into the merits of the case, we propose to close this petition by directing the respondents to decide the representation (Annexure P-20) made by her within a period of three weeks from today.
Consequently, this writ petition is disposed of with aforesaid directions. It is further clarified that in case the petitioner wants to make a fresh representation substituting the earlier representation (Annexure P-20), she is permitted to do so within a period of one week from today. In that event, the respondents shall decide the same within a period of further three weeks thereafter. In case the petitioner is not satisfied with the outcome of the representation, she is at liberty to approach this Court again.
