These original petitions are related to the same matter. This Court in O.P (KAT) No.378 of 2023 directed the Kerala Public Services Commission (for short “KPSC”) to address the grievances of the candidates, who appeared for the selection to the post of Fire and Rescue Officer (Driver) (Trainee), that no uniform method for practical driving test was followed.
The KPSC apparently considered pursuant to the directions and rejected their complaints. This is challenged before the Kerala Administrative Tribunal in O.A No.1761 of 2023, where the Tribunal refused to grant an interim order. Challenging the same, O.P (KAT) No.495 of 2023 is filed. It appears that certain other candidates were advised before the abovesaid directions were issued. They filed O.P (KAT) No.484 of 2023.
In view of the fact that no stay has been granted by the Tribunal in O.A No.1761 of 2023, nothing prevents the official respondents to proceed with the advice, subject to further orders in the matter by the Tribunal in O.A No.1761 of 2023.
We make it clear that the candidates, those who are selected, also can undergo training.
These original petitions are disposed of as above.
