Judgment
HEARD learned Counsel for both parties.
ON account of break-down of Transformer, there was no electric supply. Finding appellant guilty of deficiency in service, direction has been given by the District Forum to pay ''Rs. 1000/- to the complainant within one month and replace new transformer. It is submitted by Mr. B.R. Sarangi, learned Counsel for the appellant that the damaged Transformer has already been changed and supply of electricity has been restored. In such circumstances, in modification of the order of District Forum, we direct that consumers shall not be liable to pay the consumption charges in the bills during the period of break-down of the Transformer and the same shall be realised. In case realised, the same shall be adjusted to future bills on production of receipt of payment by the consumer.
In result, subject to the above directions, appeal is disposed of. Appeal disposed of.
