Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The writ petition is filed with the following prayer:

i) That the Respondents may kindly be directed to count the past services of the Petitioner rendered as Panchayat Secretary under Panchayat Samiti from 19.3.66 to 31.5.1984 towards qualifying service for the purpose of pension, retrial and other consequential benefits.

It is submitted that similarly situated persons have already been granted the benefits pursuant to the directions issued by this Court in Annexure P-3, under the judgment. In case the Petitioner is also similarly situated, there is no justification in discriminating the Petitioner.

Therefore, there will be direction to the first Respondent to look into the matter and in case the Petitioner is similarly situated as the Petitioner covered by the judgment, referred to above, a similar benefit shall be extended to the Petitioner herein also. The needful, as above, shall be done within a period of one month from the date of production of copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
