It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that though pursuant to the document verification notice dated 17.10.2022 (Annex.9), the petitioner could not appear for document verification scheduled on 19.10.2022. Learned counsel submits that after recommendations having been made pursuant to the document verification held on 19.10.2022, still certain vacancies remain unfilled for which, the respondents would hold another round of document verification exercise. He submits that in the event of holding of the next round of document verification, since the petitioner has secured higher marks than the candidates who have been selected, he may be called for considering his candidature.

Learned counsel for the respondents submits that the petitioner has failed to appear pursuant to the Notice dated 17.10.2022 and, therefore, the petitioner is not entitled to any relief.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and the fact that the petitioner has obtained higher marks, inasmuch as, he was called in the first round of Document Verification, in case, the respondents hold another round of Document Verification, the petitioner may be permitted to appear for document verification in the subsequent round, in case the post/s in the petitioner’s category are vacant.

With the above directions, the petition stands disposed of. However, it is made clear that the petitioner would not be issued a fresh notice.
