I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record.

2.

It has been stated by learned counsel for the parties that they belong to same locality and it is a case of simple injury and that the matter has since been settled due to intervention of respectable persons and relatives from both the sides.

3.

As per order of this Court, both the parties appeared before learned trial Court and got their statements recorded. Learned trial Court sent a report to the effect that the compromise is voluntary and genuine.

4.

In appropriate cases FIR can be quashed on the basis of compromise by exercising power u/s 482 Cr.P.C., even if the offences are not compoundable. It was so held by Full Bench of this Court in the case of Kulwinder Singh v. State of Punjab, 2007 (3) RCR (Crl.) 1052. Since the parties have amicably settled the matter and compromise has been effected between them due to intervention of the respectable persons and relatives from both the sides, in the interest of harmonious relations between the parties, who are residents of same locality, the present petition is allowed and the impugned FIR No. 58 dated 07.05.2010 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 323, 148, 149 and 452 of Indian Penal Code, registered at Police Station Jalalabad, District Ferozepur along with all consequential proceedings qua petitioners Gurmeet Singh, Surjeet Singh, Gurjit Singh, Toti @ Iqbal Singh and Jatinder Singh is, hereby, quashed.
