Present petition is filed seeking following reliefs :-

(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent’s authorities to decide the application dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-07) under Section 48 (1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, within a time bound period, in the interest of justice.

(ii) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent’s authorities to entered the name of the petitioner into the revenue records as before.

(iii) Issue any other writ, order or direction as this Hon’ble Court deems fit."

I have heard learned counsel for the parties.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner preferred representations dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure-P/7) under section 48(1) of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 which is pending consideration before the respondent No.2/Collector, which may be directed to be decided by the said authorities within stipulated time.

Learned counsel for the State submits that if direction is issued, the Authority will consider the said representations by giving fair opportunity to all the concerned parties to represent their respective case and decide the same after considering the material available on record in accordance with law.

The petitioner is directed to resubmit the aforesaid representations alongwith copy of this order before the respondent No. 2.

In turn, respondent No. 2 shall consider and decide the representations dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P/7) by giving fair opportunity to all the concerned parties to represent their respective case and decide the same after considering the material available on record in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of 14 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. It is needless to observe that, if required, the Collector can also ask the concerning parties to represent their case by following necessary procedure in accordance with law.

Accordingly, this petition is disposed off without expressing any opinion on merits of the case.
