As the default are removed, with the consent of the parties the matter is heard and decided finally.

The limited relief prayed for by the petitioner in the instant petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider his past service which the petitioner has rendered prior to entering into the present employment under the State Govt.

The contention of the petitioner is that before joining the present service as Lecturer (Panchayat) he was working as a Constable in the Police Department of the State of Chhattisgarh between 2004 to 2008. Thereafter, after due permission he participated in the recruitment process for the post of Lecturer (Panchayat) and after being selected, he joined as Lecturer (Panchayat) and on the said post he continues till date. The petitioner submits that the authorities concerned may, for the purpose of grant of pension and pensionary benefits, also count his past service rendered by him under the State Govt. prior to his coming into the present service/employment.

A perusal of record would show that the petitioner in fact has not made any representation in this regard seeking redressal of this grievance.

Given the aforesaid facts, let the petitioner make an appropriate representation in this regard. On such representation being made, the authorities concerned is expected to decide the same in accordance with the provisions of the Pension Rules preferably within a period of four months.

Needless to mention that the authorities would be also verifying the aspect whether the past service of the petitioner is one which could be counted as qualifying service for pension and pension related other benefits.

With the aforesaid, the writ petition stands disposed of.
