Sudhanshu Dhulia, J.—Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned Counsel for the Respondents.

The Petitioner has filed this writ petition claiming his post-retirement benefit from Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board, Dehradun. The Petitioner was an employee of Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board. He reached the age of superannuation on 31.8.2009. Since then, the Petitioner is running from pillar to post to get his post-retirement benefits, which are not being given to him.

This Court vide its order dated 21.12.2010 had granted two weeks'' time to file counter affidavit to the counsel representing the Pollution Control Board. Thereafter, when the matter was listed on 18.2.2011, he was again given two weeks'' time to file counter affidavit, but the counter affidavit has not been filed as yet.

Since the Petitioner is only praying for his post-retirement benefits, this Writ Petition is, therefore, presently being disposed of with the following directions:

The Petitioner shall make a representation along with a copy of this Writ Petition before the Chairman, Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board within two weeks from today. In case this is done by the Petitioner within two weeks, the Chairman, Uttarakhand Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board shall look into the representation and the grievance of the Petitioner and thereafter whatever post-retirement benefits the Petitioner is entitled to get shall be given to the Petitioner, without any unnecessary delay, but definitely within a period of eight weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced along with the representation before the authority concerned.
