The instant petition has been filed by the petitioner for grant of the following relief:

"It is, therefore, prayed that this petition may kindly be allowed and writ of mandamus be issued to the respondents No.1 to 3 to take necessary action to expedite and conclude the case in the interest of justice and fair play along with any other writ, order or directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem just and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case may also be passed in favour of the petitioner in the interest of justice.

Also, respondent No.4 be directed to not take any harsh measures against the petitioner like not allowing the petitioner to sit in the next semester, which would be ultimately detriment of petitioner."

The issue in question is squarely covered by a judgment rendered by the learned Vacation Judge in CWP No. 288 of 2019, titled Rahul Pundir and others vs. Union of India and others, decided on 08.02.2019.

For the reasons accorded in the aforesaid judgment, which shall apply mutatis mutandis to the facts of the present case, the instant writ petition is allowed. Respondents No.2 and 3 are directed to ensure that Post Matric Scholarship to the petitioner and other similarly situated persons under Centrally Sponsored Scheme, is released forthwith, preferably within a period of one month from today.

It goes without saying that all necessary codal formalities as required to be fulfilled by the petitioner and other similarly situated persons would be completed at the earliest to enable the authorities to do the needful within the stipulated time in terms of the instant judgment.

The instant petition stands disposed of so also the pending application(s), if any.
