The limited prayer made by the petitioners in this writ petition is for an expeditious consideration and disposal of Ext.P2 appeal and Ext.P2(a) petition for condoning the delay in filing the appeal filed by the petitioners before the 2nd respondent under Section 102 of the Kerala Land Reforms Act, 1963.
The learned Senior Government Pleader submits that there is no objection in a direction being issued to the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P2, in accordance with law and after affording an opportunity of hearing to all effected parties.
Accordingly, this writ petition will stand disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Ext.P2 appeal and Ext.P2(a) delay petition, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners and all effected parties, in accordance with law, within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this judgment. It is made clear that the 2nd respondent needs to pass orders on Ext.P2 appeal on merits, only if he decides to condone the delay in filing the appeal.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
