1.

The petitioner had approached this Court by way of the Writ Petition consequent on the delay of 3 days that occurred on his part in submitting the application for renewal of licence and for payment of the necessary fees. He had submitted Ext.P5 representation before the second respondent praying for a sympathetic consideration.

2.

This Court as per judgment dated 18.05.2022 directed the second respondent to forward Ext.P5 representation to the first respondent, and the first respondent was directed to pass orders thereon within six weeks.

3.

Pursuant to Annexure-I judgment, the first respondent passed Annexure-II order accepting the application for renewal and the fee remitted by the petitioner. As per Annexure-II order, the first respondent directed the Deputy Excise Commissioner to renew the licence. The grievance of the petitioner is that, in spite of Annexure-II order, the licence has not been renewed.

4.

I do notice that the directions of this Court in the judgment dated 18.05.2022 have been complied with. If the petitioner is aggrieved by any further proceedings at the hands of the authorities, it is for the petitioner to take appropriate steps in accordance with law. No primafacie case of contempt is made out.

Contempt of Case is accordingly closed.
