Judgment
B.S. Verma, J.—By means of this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent to conduct scrutiny of marks as applied for by the petitioner expeditiously.
According to the petitioner, he had appeared in the High School Examination 2010 as regular student bearing Roll No. 0097806 from Vivekanand V.M. Inter College Pithoragarh in Hindi, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Information Technology subjects and he secured First Division in the Examination. Being dissatisfied with the marks obtained by him, the petitioner applied for scrutiny of marks in four subjects, namely, Hindi, English, Mathematics and Science vide Annexure-2 to the petition and has already deposited the requisite fee, challan, etc. for the same.
I have heard learned Counsel for the petitioner as well as learned Counsel for the respondent-Examination Board. The petitioner has already applied for scrutiny of the relevant subjects as is evident from Annexure No. 2.
In the circumstances of the case, the respondent-Uttarakhand Education and Examination Board Ramnagar is directed to complete the scrutiny proceedings of the petitioner, as applied for, expeditiously, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of finally.
All pending applications also stand disposed of.
