On 12.10.2021, this Court had passed the following order:-

"The petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No. 56 dated 14.04.2021, under Sections 420 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, besides Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professional (Regulations) Act, 2014, registered at Police Station Shahkot, District Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that there is a delay of three years in registering the FIR inasmuch as it is alleged that the petitioner and co-accused had taken a sum of `5,50,000/- from the complainant for sending her abroad, but the FIR was registered in April, 2021. He also contends that the complainant had expired later on and the matter has been compromised with her sister, who is mentioned in the complaint as a witness and in whose presence money had been given. The complainant was divorced and did not have any issue. He has referred to the copy of the compromise at Annexure P-2. The petitioners are not involved in any other criminal case. He further contends that co-accused namely Gurmail Singh has been granted anticipatory bail by this court in CRM-M-38005 of 2021.

This Court, by order dated 22.09.2021 had directed the petitioners to appear before the Investigating Officer and join the investigation and in the event of their arrest, they were ordered to be released on ad-interim bail to the satisfaction of the Investigating/Arresting Officer, subject to the conditions envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Learned State counsel, upon instructions from ASI Dharminder Singh, states that petitioner No.1 has joined investigation. He further states that petitioner No.2 has not joined the investigation which is controverted by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of the above especially when the matter has been compromised and petitioner No.1 having joined investigation, the order dated 22.09.2021 granting interim bail to petitioner No.1 is made absolute. Petitioner No.2 shall appear before the Investigating officer and join investigation.

However, petitioner No.1 shall abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. She shall also join investigation as and when called upon to do so.

The petition qua petitioner No.1 stands disposed of.

List on 15.11.2021.

Interim order qua petitioner No.2 to continue." Learned State counsel, on instructions from SI Sanjeevan Singh , states that petitioner No.2 has joined investigation.

In view of the above and petitioner No.2 having joined investigation, the order dated 22.09.2021 granting interim bail to petitioner No.2 is also made absolute.

However, the petitioner No.2 shall abide by the conditions stipulated under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C. He shall also join investigation as and when called upon to do so.

The petition stands disposed of.
