Amreshwar Pratap Sahi, J.—The petitioner belongs to Gareriya (Dhangar) Caste. He claims appointment on the strength of a certificate alleged to have been issued to him as if the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste. The impugned orders have been passed clearly recording that the caste of the petitioner is not a Scheduled Caste.

2.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner has relied on the decisions of this Court to urge that the petitioner belongs to Scheduled Caste and he has invited the attention of the Court to the decision dated 20.10.2008, passed in Writ Petition No. 16458 of 2002.

3.

From a perusal of the said decision it is evident that the caste of Dhangar is notified as a Scheduled Caste under the presidential order. The petitioner is not a "Dhangar" but a sub-caste of Gareriya which is an O.B.C. and not a Scheduled Caste. In this view of the matter no case is made out for interference with the impugned orders. The writ petition is dismissed.
