Sangeet Lodha, J.—The award dt. 20.2.14 passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Pratapgarh, in Claim Case No. 109/07, awarding a sum of Rs. 5700/- as compensation in favour of the respondent No. 1-claimant for the injuries suffered by him, is impugned in this writ petition. Admittedly, Sub-section (2) of Section 173 bars an appeal against any award passed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal if the amount in dispute in appeal is less than Rs. 10,000/-.

2.

The writ jurisdiction is not meant for trifles and further the present case does not suggest any special feature warranting interference by this Court in exercise of its supervisory jurisdiction under Article 227 of the Constitution of India. In this view of the matter, the writ petition is dismissed. However, it is made clear that the dismissal of this writ petition shall not come in the way of the petitioner in pursuing any appeal filed against the award passed by the Tribunal in favour of other claimants on all available grounds.
