Judgment
Abhinava Upadhya, J.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel.
The petitioner claims himself to be blind and therefore entitled under the disability quota for promotion from class IV post to class III post. The grievance of the petitioner is that in the examination for promotion from class IV to class III held on 14.9.2008, the petitioner also appeared. However, he did not have the knowledge of typing as such he was not selected although there was a department circular dated 28.11.2008 by which relaxation was granted to the petitioner from the essential knowledge of typing. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that ignoring this circular, the petitioner has not been selected for being sent for interview which is scheduled to be held on 9.6.2009 in which four other persons have been called for.
Learned Standing Counsel prays for and is granted three weeks'' time to file counter affidavit, two weeks thereafter are granted to the petitioner to file rejoinder affidavit.
List thereafter.
In the meantime, the petitioner shall also be allowed to appear in the interview scheduled to be held on 9.6.2009. However, the result of the interview so far as the petitioner is concerned, shall not be declared and will be subject to the final decision in the writ petition.
