B.S. Verma, J.—Heard Mr. Sachin Panwar, Advocate for the Petitioner and Mr. P.C. Bisht, Brief Holder on behalf of Respondents 1 to 5.

By means of this petition the Petitioner has sought a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No. 2 to decide the representation (Annexure No. 1) of the Petitioner.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that he along with his mother Smt. Maya, parental uncle Om Prakash, parental aunty Om Giri and uncle Vinod and their two minor children Sumit and Choti, had gone to work at the Brick Klin of Respondent No. 6 in the month of September, 2010, upon assurance by Respondent No. 6 that appropriate arrangement for their stay shall be made during the course of their employment. The family continued to work in the employment of Respondent No. 6, but the Respondent No. 6 did not pay the wages of the Petitioner and other family members, in spite of repeated requests. Rather the Respondent No. 6 put the women and children under his own custody and continued to use them as bonded labour. The Petitioner any how managed to escape from the premises on 7.12.2010. Thereafter the Petitioner in order to secure release of his family members preferred a representation (Annexure No. 1 to the writ petition) before the Respondent No. 2, the District Magistrate, Haridwar, which is still pending.

During the course of argument, learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioner has submitted that the Respondent No. 2, be directed to decide the representation of the Petitioner by a speaking and reasoned order as expeditiously as possible. Prayer made is innocuous.

The Respondent No. 2/District Magistrate, Haridwar is directed to decide the representation (Annexure No. 1 to the writ petition), preferred by the Petitioner before him, by a speaking and reasoned order in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of six weeks, from the date of production of certified copy of this order.

With the aforesaid direction the writ petition is disposed of finally.
