By this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C., the petitioner, namely, Ranjit Das has prayed for granting him pre-arrest bail, apprehending arrest in
connection with Gossaigaon P.S Case No. 298/2021 under Sections 120(B)/420 of the IPC, read with Sections 63/65 of the Copyright Act, 1957 and
read with Section 53 (1) (a) of the Assam Excise Act, 2000.
Let the case diary be called for.
In the meantime, it is provided that in the event of arrest of the petitioner, named above, in connection with the above noted case, he shall be released
on interim pre-arrest bail upon furnishing a bail bond of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) only with one surety of like amount to the satisfaction
of the arresting authority, subject, of course, to the following conditions:
(i) That the petitioner shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 7 days from today;
(ii) That the petitioner shall not hamper or tamper with the investigation in any manner;
(iii) That the petitioner shall not, directly or indirectly, make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so
as to dissuade him from disclosing such facts to the Court or to any police officer; and
(iv) That the petitioner shall not leave the territorial jurisdiction of the Gossaigaon P.S without obtaining prior written permission from the concerned
Investigating Officer of the case.
If any of the conditions are found to be violated then the Investigating Officer shall be at liberty to seek cancellation of the interim bail granted to the
petitioner.
