Judgment
Tejinder Singh Dhindsa. J
Both the petitioners are stated to have attained the age of majority.
As per averments made in the petition, petitioner no.1 was earlier married to respondent no.4 and out of the wedlock two children have been born. She has now left her matrimonial home and is stated to be in live-in relationship with petitioner no.2.
Petitioner no.1 is present in Court is duly identified through counsel.
This Court has interacted with petitioner no.1 and on a query having been put she states that she wishes to stay with petitioner no.2 on account of her own will and desire. She further alleges that she has left the matrimonial home on account of maltreatment and harassment meted out to her by respondent no.4.
Counsel for the petitioners would contend that it is on account of such peculiar circumstances that the petitioners apprehend a threat and danger to their life and liberty at the hands of private respondents no.4 to 8.
Without commenting on the relationship between the petitioners/their liaison, instant petition is disposed of in terms of granting liberty to the petitioners to approach respondent no.3 confined to the aspect of the threat to their life.
In the eventuality of any such application being preferred, respondent no.3 would be obligated to look into the same and to thereafter take steps as he may deem fit and as warranted in accordance with law.
Disposed of.
