Sanjeev Kumar and Another vs State of H.P. and Another

Kurian Joseph, C.J.—The writ petition is filed with the following prayer:

In view of the submissions made hereinabove, it is most humbly and respectfully prayed that present Civil Writ Petition may kindly be allowed and writ in the nature of mandamus be issued in favour of Petitioners and against the Respondents with direction to them to regularize the Petitioner after reckoning their eight years of service from the year 1995 and also gave them work charge status from due date i.e. reckoning ten years from 1995 and its benefits till today along with all other consequential service benefits and arrears of pay/salary etc. Respondents may also be directed to pay equal salary to Petitioners which they are giving to other Pujaries of temple. Two posts of Pujari be not filled up till decision of this petition. Any further order which this Hon''ble Court deems fit in the interest of law and justice.

There will be a direction to the first Respondent to look into the grievance of the Petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law and justice taking note of the precedent in the case of the similarly situated workers. The needful, as above, shall be done within three months from the date of production of a copy of this judgment along with a copy of the writ petition by the Petitioner concerned before the first Respondent.

The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending applications, if any.
