Shailendra Kumar And Anr vs Union Of India And Ors

The petitioner has prayed for following relief(s):

1(i) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding/directing the Respondents to hence forth defer/postpone the Bihar

General Legislative Assembly, 2020 due to Covid-19 pandemic.

(ii) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding/directing the Respondent No.2 to ascertain/assure conducting of the

Bihar Legislative Assembly Election once situation of Covid-19 pandemic settle down.

(iii) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding/directing the Respondent No.2 to acknowledge that under the

prevailing pandemic equal representation of people will not be possible.

(iv) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding/directing the Respondents particularly, Respondent No.2 to understand

that the hallmark of democracy lies in the power of citizen to exercise their vote freely and fearlessly.

(v) To issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of Mandamus commanding/directing the Respondents to henceforth issue notification for

conducting Bihar Legislative Assembly Election once the citizen/voters are fearless in rendering vote.â€​

Learned counsel for the petitioners seeks permission to withdraw the present petition.
