This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and to direct respondents No.4 to 7 not to interfere and not to harass the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petitioners are in a live-in-relationship. The private respondents are not accepting the said relationship and are extending threats to them. The copies of 'Aadhar' cards (Annexures P-1 and P-2) of petitioners No.1 and 2 have been placed on record.

Mr. Anmol Singh Sandhu, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the official respondents.

Without commenting upon the said relationship, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 16.06.2023 (Annexure P-3) and take requisite action, if so warranted, as per the facts and circumstances of the matter in accordance with law.
