At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that let this petition be disposed off with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Bathinda, to consider and decide the representation dated 29.09.2022 (Annexure P-5) alleged to have been submitted by the petitioners seeking protection for their lives and personal liberty.

Accordingly, and without commenting upon the merits of the claim of the petitioners and even the assertions set out in the petition, the same is disposed of only with a direction to respondent No.2 that if any such representation, as indicated above, is indeed pending consideration, it shall be dealt with expeditiously in accordance with law.
