This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

This I.A has been filed by the Petitioner with a prayer for extension of interim bail granted to the Petitioner vide order dated 23.12.2025.

Mr.Nayak, learned Senior Counsel appearing for the Petitioner at the outset contended that by filing the present I.A he has prayed for extension of the interim bail. In course of argument, learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioner assured this Court that the Petitioner is ready and willing to settle the matter and the Petitioner is also ready to return the money which was taken from the informant as would be aggrieved between the parties.

Mr.Nanda, learned counsel appearing for the Informant on the other hand has no objection if the matter is sent to the Mediation for settlement of the dispute amicably.

Considering submissions made by the learned Senior Counsel for the Petitioner and taking into consideration the grounds taken in the interlocutory application, this Court extends the interim bail granted to the Petitioner vide order dated 23.12.2025 by further period of six weeks.

Accordingly, the I.A. is disposed of.

Further, the parties are directed to approach the learned Coordinator of the Orissa High Court Mediation Centre along with a copy of today’s order within 7 days. On their appearance, the learned Coordinator shall appoint the Mediator, who shall make every endeavour to conclude the proceeding within a period of four weeks from the date the parties appear before the learned Mediator.

Parties are directed to cooperate with the learned Mediator. Let a copy of the mediation report be furnished before this Court by the next date.
