The prayer in the petition is that the Respondents be directed to release the retiral benefits of the Petitioner.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner was retired in the year 1991, Husband of the Petitioner was in job. It is submitted that after death of the husband of the Petitioner the Petitioner is regularly approaching the authority to release the pension but the pension has not been released on the ground that the Petitioner''s husband has not completed 10 years of service, it is submitted that it cannot be a ground for rejecting the claim of the Petitioner.

From perusal of Annexure R-1 filed by the Respondent, it is evident that the Petitioner has completed regular service of more than 10 years and, therefore, the petition filed by the Petitioner is disposed of with a short direction that the Petitioner shall appear before the competent authority along with the copy of the order passed by this Court and also with the letter Annexure R-1. It will be the duty of the competent authority to look into the matter and release the family pension as early as possible within a period of two months from date of receipt of copy of the order.

With the aforesaid, the petition stands disposed of.
