Judgment

The petitioner, who is a Principal in Baba Balak Nath Degree College, Chakmoh, Tehsil Barsar, District Hamirpur and was due to retire on 30.6.2020, on attaining the age of 60 years, has come up before this Court seeking extension of his service till the end of semester i.e. August 2020.
Learned counsel for the respondents has placed on record the instructions, which reveal that due to Covid-19 pandemic disease the academic activities are not taking place. The campus is locked and only one clerk and a security guard is posted there. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioner stands relieved on 30.6.2020 and officiating charge has also been given to one Dr. Ashok Kumar.
In such circumstances, the school does not need the services of any academician, which would be required, in case the normal activities were taking place. Without expressing any opinion on merits that whether the writ is maintainable or not, even otherwise on merits, the petitioner has no case as such the writ petition is dismissed. Pending application(s), if any, are closed.
