Anjani Kumar, J.—Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner.

By means of this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner has prayed for issuance of a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the select-list dated 27th November, 1996 (Annexure-4 to the writ petition) with a further prayer that a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus be issued directing the Respondents to consider the claim of the Petitioner according to her merit in the admission test of the B.T.C. Training Course for the year 1996-97.

Today admittedly since the duration of the course according to the statement made at bar is two years, the course itself is over. Therefore, today the Petitioner cannot be admitted to the course which has been over in the year 1997-98.

In this view of the matter, no effective relief can be granted to the Petitioner.

In view of the above, this writ petition has become infructuous by efflux of time and deserves to be dismissed.

The petition is accordingly dismissed. The interim order, if any, stands vacated.
