Judgment
Prashant Kumar Agarwal, J.—The appellant-Insurance Company has preferred this Civil Misc. Appeal u/s 173 of the Motor Vehicle Act, 1988 passed by Judge, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Chhabra (District Baran) in Claim Case No. 97/2010 whereby the Tribunal by allowing the claim petition filed by the respondent-claimants has awarded a total amount of Rs. 8,88,400/- with interest in an accident case in which one Shri Dharmraj died.
A perusal of award shows that the income of the deceased was assessed as Rs. 3,600/- per month and looking to the age of the deceased at the time of accident multiplier of 17 was applied.
On consideration of submissions made on behalf of the appellant and the reasons recorded by the Tribunal in support of the award, I do not find any illegality and perversity in it. I do not find that the amount awarded is in any manner unreasonable or excessive.
Consequently, the appeal being meritless is, hereby, dismissed at the admission stage itself. The stay application also stands dismissed.
