Judgment

The petitioner is working as Counter Assistant in Cochin Devaswom Board at Triprayar temple. While the petitioner was working as Counter
Assistant in Chittoor temple under the Cochin Devaswom Board, the petitioner was proceeded against for misappropriation of temple funds and by
Ext.P4 a punishment of barring future promotion was imposed on the petitioner. The petitioner has preferred Ext.P6 representation against the
punishment of barring of promotion imposed on the petitioner and going by Ext.P7, it is seen that the Assistant Commissioner has made over the said
representation to the Board. The petitioner submits that Ext.P6 is pending before the 1st respondent Board. The limited prayer of the petitioner is for a
direction to the 1st respondent to expedite consideration of Ext.P6, as the petitioner is retiring from service on superannuation by the end of February,
2022.
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondents.
Since it is submitted that Ext.P6 representation of the petitioner has been made over to the Board and is pending consideration before the Board, I
think it is appropriate to direct the 1st respondent to consider Ext.P6 and pass appropriate orders at the earliest. Since it is stated that the petitioner is
retiring by the end of February, 2022, the 1st respondent may attempt to dispose of Ext.P6 representation before the petitioner retires from service, or
at any rate within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
