Jyoti Saran, J.—Learned Counsel for the petitioner is permitted to add the Registrar of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar Bihar University as respondent No. 4 to the proceedings.

2.

Heard Mr. Arun Kumar for the petitioner, Mr. B.J. Jha, learned Counsel Junior Counsel to Mr. Ajay Bihari Sinha representing the respondent University.

3.

The petitioner had superannuated from the post of University Professor with effect from 31.1.1995. Although the post retiral benefits has been paid to the petitioner, but certain claims towards the revision of pension and other benefits remained pending and which has led to filing of the present writ petition. The details of the dues have been set out in para-7 of the writ petition and which are as follows:

(1) Revision of pension in the pay scale of the University Professor in revised U.G.C. scale with effect from 1.1.1996.

(2) For payment of arrears on revision of pension on account of revised U.G.C. scale for the period 1.4.1997.

(3) Interim relief for the period 1.6.1983 to Nov. 1986,

(4) D.D.A. for the period March, 1984 to December, 1989 and 1st January, 1990 to 31st January, 1995,

(5) Difference of arrears of salary on account of revision of pay scale of the university Professor as per U.G.C. recommendation for the period 1.1.1986 to 31st January, 1989.

4.

Having regard to the nature of grievances referred to in the writ petition, and taking into consideration that the matter has remained pending since 2006 but no counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the university, I am of the opinion that the ends of justice would be served by disposing of the writ petition with a direction to the newly added respondent No. 4 the Registrar of the University to examine the claims of the petitioner as set out hereinabove in this order and if the same is found admissible and has not yet been paid, to make payment thereof within a period of three months of the date of receipt/production of a copy of the order.

5.

Needless to add that such of the claims which are not found admissible be disposed of by speaking order.

6.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
