Jaswant Singh, J.—Prayer is for suspension of sentence on behalf Petitioner-Bhagi Ram who has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years with fine of Rs. 10,000/-and in default to further undergo rigorous imprisonment for six months for an offence punishable u/s 7 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

It is submitted the learned trial court vide its order dated 19.10.2010 has already suspended the sentence of the Petitioner uptill 18.11.2010 to enable him to file an appeal.

After hearing counsel for the parties and in view of the fact that the appeal is not likely to be heard in near future, it is ordered that the sentence of the Petitioner already suspended by the trial court is extended during the pendency of the appeal to the satisfaction of the CJM/Duty Magistrate, Hisar.
