It has been stated that both the petitioners have attained the age for a valid marriage. The marriage of the petitioners has been solemnized on 24.01.2020. Copy of marriage certificate dated 24.01.2020 (Annexure P-3) and photographs dated 24.01.2020 (Annexure P-4) are on record. The petitioners are stated to be residing at District Patiala. Apprehending danger to their lives, at the instance of private respondents who are the relatives of the petitioners, the present petition has been instituted. The allegations are also substantiated with the affidavits of both the petitioners.

Mr. Rajesh Bhardwaj, Sr. DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.

The present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2 to look into the matter and if he finds that apprehension of danger to the lives and personal liberty of the petitioners is real, he shall take appropriate steps to ensure their protection as he feels necessary, in such circumstances of the case.
