It has been stated that both the petitioners have attained the age for a valid marriage. The marriage of the petitioners has been solemnized on 17.01.2020. Copy of Aadhar card, marriage certificate and photographs are on record. The petitioners are stated to be residing at House No. 3408, Ward No. 15, Mohalla Jain Street, Nakodar, District Jalandhar. Apprehending danger to their lives, at the instance of private respondents who are the relatives of the petitioners, the present petition has been instituted. The allegations are also substantiated with the affidavits of both the petitioners.
Notice of motion.
Mr. Randhir Singh Thind, DAG Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State.
The present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No. 2-Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar to look into the matter and if he finds that apprehension of danger to the lives and personal liberty of the petitioners is real, he shall take appropriate steps to ensure their protection as he feels necessary, in such circumstances of the case.
