A.K. Rajan, J.—The writ petitions have been filed for regularisation of the services of the petitioners. The petitioners in both the writ petitions are employed in the Dindugal and Avadi Municipality respectively. They are employed under non-muster rolls (N.M.Rs.) ranging from one year to four years at the time of filing of the writ petitions. Subsequent to the filing of the writ petitions, the Government has passed an order in G.O. R.D. No.84, dated 21-5-1998, whereby, the Government has framed a scheme as to how the persons employed under N.M.Rs. are to be given benefits under that scheme. That provision is applicable to the writ petitioners also. Accordingly, in view of the abovesaid Government Order, the writ petitioners in both the writ petitions are eligible for the same benefits. There will be a direction to the respondents that the benefits of the said G.O shall be made applicable to the petitioners in both the writ petitions also, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petitions are ordered accordingly. No costs. Consequently, W.M.Ps.28492 of 1994 and 28485 of 1995 are closed.
