Ahanthem Bimol Singh, J

Heard Mr. N. Mahendra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr. Th. Sukumar, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents No. 1 and 2 and Mr. U. Augusta, learned counsel appearing for the respondents No. 3 and 4.

Pursuant to the impugned NIT, the authorities have already completed the tender process by issuing a work order dated 01-03-2021 wherein it is clearly stated that the period of the contract work is for only six months w.e.f. 01-03-2021. By influx of time, the period of six months have already been lapsed long back and on several occasions, this court granted time to the learned counsel for the petitioner to get necessary instruction as to whether the writ petition has become infructuous or not. Despite giving several opportunities, the petitioner has not brought on record any subsequent development till today. It has, however, been submitted by Mr. N. Mahendra, learned counsel for the petitioner that after lapse of the period of contract work, the authorities have issued subsequent order thereby continuing the contract work and the learned counsel, accordingly, prayed for granting atleast two weeks’ time as a last chance for filing an additional affidavit to bring on record such subsequent development.

As prayed for, two weeks’ time as last chance is given to the petitioner to file necessary affidavits. It is made clear that if the petitioner failed to bring on record the subsequent development by filing necessary affidavits and relevant documents, appropriate order will be passed on the next date.
