Justice Rajiv Sharma, Judge
The writ petition is filed with the following prayers:
1.That writ in the nature of mandamus may kindly be issued by directing the respondents to issue Backward Class Certificate (OBC) to cast "Bhat" as per the Notification irrespective of the appendage of words "Brahaman" or name of the "Gotra" with the caste "Bhat".
That the use of any appendage to the main cast, unless specifically prohibited by the Government, may be declared meaningless for the purpose of counting that caste for benefits under Other Backward Classes category.
That respondent No.4 may very kindly be directed to make the necessary corrections in the revenue record for including the sub-caste of the petitioners.
There will be a direction to the fourth respondent to take appropriate action for entry of the caste and issuance of the certificate thereof, in case of the petitioners on the basis of Annexures P-1 to P-4 within three days from today on production of copy of this judgment alongwith a copy of writ petition before fourth respondent by the petitioner.
The petition is disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending applications.
