Judgment
Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs:
a. Quash the Show Cause Notice bearing No. S.D.P.O./GC/Notice/No.10/2026 dated 23.07.2026 issued by Respondent No. 4 produced herewith Annexure A.
b. Issue a direction of Mandamus on Respondent No. 4 to issue a public apology for abusing power, abusing position and authority for slapping and using indiscriminate criminal force on the Petitioner.
c. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing Respondent No. 1 and 2 to initiate disciplinary action to be conducted by an officer not below the rank of IGP against Respondent No. 4 for misusing power, position and abusing authority for committing police brutality on the Petitioner.
d. To issue a direction directing the Respondents to preserve all CCTV footage, body worn camera proceedings, videography related to the incident dated 27.07.2026 that occurred inside/outside the office/chambers of the Respondent No. 4.
e. Issue a Writ of Mandamus directing Respondent No. 1 for violation of Articles 14, 19 and 21 and directing the Respondent No. 1 to pay the Petitioner reasonably compensation of not less than Rs. Ten Lakhs or such other sum as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit for loss of liberty, dignity, reputation and causing humiliation.
f. Place report on action taken before this Hon'ble Court in such time as may be fixed.

What is being challenged is a show cause notice dated 23.07.2026 at Annexure-A.
There is no dispute as regards the respondents having the powers and jurisdiction to issue the show cause notice. It is for the petitioner to reply to the said show cause notice and for respondent no.4 to consider the said reply and pass necessary orders in accordance with law.
Though there is an allegation made in para '8' of the petition that there is some high handedness on the part of the respondents-police, that cannot be a ground for the petitioner not to reply to show cause notice. If at all there is any high handedness, it is always available for the petitioner to take necessary action in accordance with law.
No ground for interference is being made out, reserving liberty to the petitioner to reply to the impugned show cause notice dated 23.07.2026 extending the time stated therein until 14.08.2026, the petition stands disposed.
