The writ petition is filed with the following prayer:
I. That a writ in the nature of Mandamus may kindly be issued directing the Respondents to consider the Petitioners for their conversion into daily waged Chowkidar w.e.f. completion of his 10 years of service on part time basis as per instructions dated 27.2.2004 issued by the Chief Secretary to the Govt. of H.P. further liberalized vide letter dated 13.10.2009 issued by the Principal Secretary Revenue to all Deputy Commissioners, with all consequential benefits.
The Petitioners are working as part time Revenue Chowkidars. The State Government, in its wisdom, has framed a scheme to grant daily wager status to the part time workers on 27.02.2004. The Government has framed subsequent policy as well. The Respondents are directed to consider the case of the Petitioners for giving the status of daily wagers within eight weeks from today. The writ petition is disposed of, so also the pending application(s), if any.
