Heard Shri M. Hemchandra, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the petitioner; Shri N. Ibotombi, learned Senior Advocate appearing for the
private respondent while Ms. Rebati, learned Advocate appearing for the respondent No. 1.
On 29-04-2021, this Court granted further time for filing counter subject to payment of Rs. 500/- each to be paid by the learned counsels appearing for
the respondents. This Court’s order has not been complied with by them. When the matter is taken up today for consideration, it has been
submitted by Shri N. Ibotombi, learned Senior Advocate and Ms. Rebati, learned Advocate appearing for the respondents that in view of the Covid-19
pandemic, it was not possible for them to deposit the said costs to the High Court Bar Association of Manipur and accordingly, they have prayed that
they may be given further time, in the interest of justice, for filing counters.
Prayer is allowed subject to payment of Rs. 1,000/- each in place of Rs. 500/- each as directed by this Court on 29-04-2021, by the learned counsels
appearing for the respondents to be paid to the High Court Bar Association of Manipur within a period of two weeks from today and they may file
their counters within three weeks from today failing which the filing of counters on behalf of the respondents shall stand closed without any reference
to this court.
List the matter on 27-08-2021.
