Judgment

Mr. K.C. Gautam, learned Special Counsel for the State petitioner has once again submitted that a meeting between the parties have been held on 03.03.2026, and the resolution of such meeting have been forwarded to the concerned authority in the government. In this connection, it is prayed that some time may be allowed for a response from the said authorities and decision thereof to be placed before this Court.
Mr. C.C.T. Sangma, learned counsel for the respondent No. 1 has also confirmed that such a meeting has been held, and that within a week or so, the decision of the government is likely to materialize. As such, on submission made by the parties, this matter is accordingly adjourned for another 3(three) weeks’ time.
However, it is made clear that no further adjournment will be allowed, and, if the decision of the said concerned authority is not placed on record, the matter shall proceed for hearing in its usual course, or alternatively, considering the circumstances when the matter has reached to the stage, this Court may be compelled to call for the personal appearance of any officer concerned, to apprise this Court on the outcome of the process.
As agreed to by the parties, list this matter on 01.04.2026.
